A-Boards / A Snowboards (France)

  • The brand started in 1992 under the name A-Snowboards, founded by French snowboard pioneer Régis Rolland.

  • It became well-known in the French snowboard scene and sold thousands of boards, gaining popularity for its freestyle designs and graphics.

  • The company was part of a merger with Grand Chavin Product, which also owned other brands like Hot and Hammer Snowboards, before being acquired by Rossignol Group in 1999.

  • After the acquisition, the brand eventually disappeared as Rossignol folded the operations in the early 2000s.

  • Later, the founder re-established snowboard work under a new brand name APO Snowboards (short for “Apocalypse Snow”) in 2003, carrying on the French snowboard legacy.
