The brand started in 1992 under the name A-Snowboards, founded by French snowboard pioneer Régis Rolland.

It became well-known in the French snowboard scene and sold thousands of boards, gaining popularity for its freestyle designs and graphics.

The company was part of a merger with Grand Chavin Product, which also owned other brands like Hot and Hammer Snowboards, before being acquired by Rossignol Group in 1999.

After the acquisition, the brand eventually disappeared as Rossignol folded the operations in the early 2000s.

Later, the founder re-established snowboard work under a new brand name APO Snowboards (short for “Apocalypse Snow”) in 2003, carrying on the French snowboard legacy.
